Welcome to Bubbling Brook, my personal blog. I began this blog because I wanted a platform where I could talk about things going on in my life, my current passions, and the journey to accomplishing my many goals. This blog will cover many topics that I care deeply about from yoga to sustainable living, from environmental activism to my everyday experiences. Thank you for joining me on my journey!
Why the name Bubbling Brook?
For my first 10 years of education, I attended Summit-Questa Montessori School. Like the name suggests, Summit-Questa is a Montessori school teaching Pre-k through middle school. The education I received from this school holds a special place in my heart because of the many things I learned besides math and science, which helped shape me into the woman I am today. Besides the common core subjects, Native American culture, peaceful conflict resolution, and self awareness were part of the curriculum. The school has a special ceremony just before graduation where the 8th graders receive their spirit names. Our spirit names were given to us by our beloved principal, Ms. Judy. The spirit name I was given was Bubbling Brook. She chose this name for me because of my bubbly personality. She believed I was a very friendly, kind, and talkative individual who always tried to make other people happy. This name means a lot to me and is a reminder of the type of person I want to be. I strive to always be a friendly, kind person helping others find happiness.
